Map & Parking
Forget the malls, the crowds and giving the same gift everyone else is giving. Shop downtown first!
Parking is available on the street, in city lots behind businesses on Cabot Street, and in the MBTA
garage at 100 Rantoul Street
Current meter rates are $.25 per hour for meters and 2-hour lot spaces; 12-hour lot spaces are $.25 for 2 hours. Bring your quarters or sign up to pay by smartphone at http://goparkit.com/about/location/beverly/.
Parking is available on the street and in public parking lots behind businesses on Cabot Street. The public lots are marked with a yellow P on the map above.
Parking enforcement is from 9am – 5pm, Monday – Saturday.
Pay machines: Four of the public lots utilize a pay machine rather than meters. There are 2-hour spaces and 12-hour spaces in each lot. Look for the signs that indicate the 12-hour spaces. Each parking space is numbered. Check your space number before you go to the machine. Hit any key on the keypad and then follow the directions. The machines take quarters or dollar bills. You do not need to display your ticket on your dashboard; enforcement officers use a report they print from each machine to monitor payments.
Meters: All of the meters, in the lots and on the street, take quarters only. We have 15-minute meters, 1-hour meters, 2-hour meters and 12-hour meters so check your meter carefully. The 12-hour meters have yellow tops but the others have no distinguishing marks to tell a 15-minute meter from any other meter.
Employees of downtown businesses are encouraged to park at a 12-hour meter. Feeding the meter is illegal.
Commuters are not allowed to park at any meter except a 12-hour meter. If you do park at another meter, you will get at least one ticket and maybe more if you park for an extended time.
Our meter enforcement team is diligent, as they should be. Bring your quarters!
MBTA Garage: The Beverly Depot train station has a 500-space parking garage operated by the MBTA. Rate is $5 per day.
